Good eye on the planet
The CSR spot of SILMO Paris - Hall 6
Building on the “Responsible Company Prize” launched three years ago, SILMO Paris is introducing a brand-new 128m² area dedicated entirely to impact and CSR, located at the entrance of the show. In partnership with the CSR agency Hyssop, this space will highlight initiatives and companies in the optical industry that are innovating to reduce their environmental footprint and enhance their social and societal impact.

Optical Design Contest
The Optical Design Contest celebrates emerging talents from design schools
around the world, inviting them to push the boundaries of creativity in the field
of optics. In 2025, the theme Superhero Glasses challenges them to create
visionary frames that enhance vision, transform perception, and reveal the full
potential of design. Discover exclusively the projects of the finalists and winners
in the dedicated space. The winner will receive a €10,000 prize, split equally
between themselves and their school.

The Expertise of French Optical Manufacturers
Hall 7
Every year, 2.5 million frames and 14 million lenses
are manufactured in France. Throughout the show,
the Savoir-faire Lunetiers Français Area will offer
demonstrations of the different stages involved in
manufacturing lenses and frames, as well as mini-conferences and quizzes to learn everything there
