A century of creativity. And still inspiring.
Through two original exhibitions presented at SILMO Paris 2026, the museums of Morez and Oyonnax revisit eyewear heritage through the lens of fashion and creativity. Animal motifs, materials, colours, Art Deco, pop and vintage influences: their collections span the decades, revealing how yesterday’s inspirations continue to fuel creativity today.
In Morez, eyewear shows its wild side
With the exhibition “Animal-Inspired Eyewear”, the “Musée de la lunette” de Morez explores the influence of the animal world on creativity. Shapes, textures, patterns and materials tell the story of a trend that has crossed the centuries and found its way into eyewear. Discover original and sometimes unexpected pieces!

In Oyonnax, eras and styles come together
With “Museum Inspiration”, the “Musée du Peigne et de la Plasturgie d’Oyonnax” creates connections between made in Oyonnax eyewear, produced in plastic since 1925, and decorative artworks, accessories and fashion pieces. Art Deco, pop, vintage… shapes, colours and textures come together to spark fresh inspiration.
Two exhibitions, two worlds, one invitation to see eyewear heritage in a new light.
