SILMO PARIS SHINES A LIGHT ON COMMITTED INDUSTRY PLAYERS
Building on the “Responsible Company Prize” launched three years ago, SILMO Paris is introducing a brand-new 128m² area dedicated entirely to impact and CSR, located at the entrance of the show. In partnership with the CSR agency Hyssop, this space will highlight initiatives and companies in the optical industry that are innovating to reduce their environmental footprint and enhance their social and societal impact.
A MULTIFUNCTIONAL SPACE
Open to all visitors, the CSR Spot will feature a variety of formats and will be led over four days by CSR experts. Its objectives:
- INFORM
- on the environmental, social, and societal challenges facing the optical industry, helping companies focus on their main impact areas and avoid marginal actions that may amount to greenwashing.
- debunk common myths and misconceptions about CSR.
- SHOWCASE
- Innovation Pitches: On September 26, 10 innovative start-ups will each have 3 minutes to pitch their CSR-focused solutions (transport, inclusion, health, packaging, social innovation, etc.).
- The materials library: A curated selection of environmentally responsible materials for optical products.
- Best practices: Selected highlights from entries to the Responsible Company Prize will be featured.
- SUPPORT
- companies in addressing CSR topics,
- through workshops and round tables offering practical methods and real-world examples,
- and by presenting solutions for repurposing end-of-life products—a key issue in the sector.
- ENCOURAGE interaction and synergy among stakeholders involved in CSR initiatives
OUR PARTNER
As with the Responsible Company Prize, SILMO Paris is partnering with CSR agency Hyssop to combine deep industry knowledge with the proven CSR expertise of a recognized player. Hyssop is overseeing the design of the CSR Spot, the selection of featured stakeholders, content programming and onsite facilitation.
