GALERIES LAFAYETTE: THE DEPARTMENT STORE FOR EVERYONE
While in Paris make yourself a little treat and go shopping at Galeries Lafayette the greatest department store in Paris! Revealing trends for over 125 years, Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann unveils its Wellness Gallery. A new space offering a unique and holistic approach to well-being to balance body and mind.

Season after season, new fashions emerge in Paris and around the world, with the French capital often leading the way. Galeries Lafayette has been at the forefront of fashion for more than 125 years, continuously evolving while also remaining open – to new ideas, new designers and new desires – and closely attuned to the people and practices of each era. In September, for its latest transformation, Galeries Lafayette is going BIG to meet some very ambitious objectives:
- Being home to the biggest shoe department in Europe, with decor designed by Belgian architect Bernard Dubois and fabulous views of Paris and the Coupole building’s recently restored century-old dome. The vast space includes a selection of luxury footwear, designer shoes and trendy sneakers from around 200 brands, as well as theme-based, multi-brand spaces, pop-up stores and a responsible shoe repair shop.
- Encouraging customers to shop differently with GALERIES LAFAYETTE (RE)STORE, a completely-new space in the Haussmann building offering second-hand and responsible fashion items, as well as a range of innovative new services. Embracing all the elements that make up fashion today. True to its role as a fashion showcase, Galeries Lafayette is unveiling a broader, more creative brand line-up – from luxury fashion houses and timeless classics to accessible labels and digital natives – so that there’s something for everyone under one roof.
- At the same time, both online and at all stores in France, we’re celebrating the “Instabrands” and innovative designers currently making their mark in the fashion world and shaping the latest exciting trends. With loads of creative energy, new-found delights and responsible fashion options, the end of summer at Galeries Lafayette will be full of fun and surprises for everyone! This positive, inclusive spirit has been cleverly captured in a new ad campaign by DDB Paris. The campaign reflects this freshness but also conveys the most important message of all: Galeries Lafayette is the department store for everyone! Featuring cowboys, kids, foodies, freethinkers, vintage lovers and visionaries, the ads highlight the diversity of faces and styles that make up the store’s community.
